Clear blue skies and warm sunshine greeted us this morning, and so after breakfast we decided to enjoy a long neighborhood walk. We passed by the most beautiful butterfly garden, and our favorite little stream and park nestled next to the community firehouse. It was a wonderful way to spend our Sunday, and in these uncertain times, I have found great comfort in these special moments with my family and out in nature.
When we returned home, there was a beautiful box and card perched on our porch. I opened the box and card to reveal the sweetest note from a dear friend, and gorgeous blueberry muffins from one of our favorite local bakeries. Such a thoughtful gesture, that made our day! Right now, so many of us (myself included), are busy with cooking, cleaning, working, homeschooling, and the list goes on. However, it’s important now more than ever to pause, and think about what we can do for others. It’s these thoughtful gestures, big and small, that mean the most.
Here are some ideas on what you can do to make a difference, and I hope everyone continues to stay safe and healthy at home.
